Construction Superintendent works directly with subcontractors, as well as self-performs small scopes of work onsite. Ensures the timely completion of each Project to the satisfaction of the client.

Responsibilities of Construction Superintendent:

  • Producing quality work that is constructed consistent with the standards set forth in the project’s contract documents
  • Schedule subcontractors and manage daily onsite progress
  • Coordinate with PM and PC on jobsite staffing, problem solving and change orders
  • Interpret and explain plans and conditions to subcontractors and clients
  • Monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations
  • Performing the work in a timely and cost-effective manner and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Maintaining daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates and Email correspondence
  • Obtaining all inspections and ensuring that the quality aspects of the physical work are fully documented
  • Study the job specifications and compare with client requests to determine the appropriate construction methods to utilize
  • Create and maintain daily reports

Qualifications of Construction Superintendent:

  • AS degree in Construction Management
  • Five or more years work experience in a Superintendent position
  • Computer Skills required: MS Excel, MS Project and Word
  • Organized and good follow through
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • LEED GA/AP Credential desirable
  • Must be knowledgeable about construction industry regulations, construction trades and how they interface onsite
