We are currently seeking a qualified Refrigeration Service Technician in Ft. Myers, Florida for a successful AC and Refrigeration Contractor with over 45 years of experience, a successful track record, and a reputation for providing excellent service.  The company specializes in services in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Repair and Maintenance.  As the Refrigeration Technician, your mission and responsibility is to provide maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairing various refrigeration systems which includes implementing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and to help grow the division.

Refrigeration Service Technician Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily handout work order tickets;
  • Complete any daily additional call in service or repairs requests;
  • Prepare and complete written invoices on site;
  • Provide follow up for all parts orders until job complete;
  • Provide continual report progress to office throughout the day
  • Submit paperwork to office daily;
  • Orders parts daily as needed;
  • Provide truck stock report to ensure office ordering;
  • Provide weekly truck inspection and damage reports;
  • Participate and attend weekly staff meeting and provide field input for increasing field procedural efficiencies;
  • Must be available for after hours and weekend emergency refrigeration calls on a rotating basis;
  • Daily work varies based on various types of service calls;
  • Meet with customers, evaluate needs and make recommendation’s;

Refrigeration Service Technician Qualifications:

  • Experienced refrigeration and HVAC technician skill in all aspects of trade along with universal CFC Certification;
  • Must be proficient with walk in coolers and freezers, ice machines, reach in coolers, etc.
  • Manufacturer proprietary control training available on an as needed basis;
  • Understand the operations of commercial refrigeration/freezer systems;
  • Ability to diagnose malfunctions and defects in various equipment;
  • Must have a firm understanding and grasping of electrical and plumbing concepts;
  • Knowledge of operating tools, gauges and other testing equipment for refrigeration systems;

Compensation Overview:

  • $50 K annually with 40 hours/week guaranteed
  • Overtime paid at 1.5 times hourly rate
  • Emergency Calls paid at $62.50/hour
  • $5000 per year Deferred Compensation Plan
